Jennifer Hunt is the Vice President of Research for the Real Estate Investment Network and she began investing in real estate in 2009. Her real estate investing experience ranges from investing in syndicated mortgages, Mortgage Investment Corporations and Real Estate Investment Trusts with Locked In Retirement Accounts, Registered Retirement Savings Plans and Tax Free Savings Accounts. She has a real estate portfolio including vacation rentals, and residential and multi-family properties (in Canada and the US). She has led and completed significant industrial real estate development projects in the US and closed commercial leases of over $5 million - some of which were high-profile, unique deals for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Jennifer is one of the first Real Estate Investment Advisors in Canada.

Marc Desormeaux leads Scotiabank Economics’ regional economic forecasting and commodity market coverage. During his time at Scotiabank, he has produced research on a wide range of sectors—including real estate, energy policy, and federal and provincial government finances. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Marc worked in the economic forecasting division at the Conference Board of Canada.

Captain Mark is a pilot with Air Canada with 20 years in the aviation industry. He bought his first investment property (farmland) in 2004 and currently manages and owns a share in the 3.88 million dollar local real estate. He incorporated Teknicon Construction Services, Inc. in March 2019 with a business partner, JP, specializing in converting SF homes into basement suites, tenant improvements, apartment building renovation commercial retail space.

Brenda, of Viva Properties Inc., has been involved in the real estate business for over 37 years. She started buying rental properties in 1982 and has completed numerous renovations from minor fix ups to complete overhauls. She also managed many properties over the years. She started her career as a photographer and ran a thriving business for over 25 years. While doing so, maintained a foot in the real estate world where she educated herself on many aspects of the real estate business. She decided to go full time into real estate eight years ago. Currently, she prefers the BRRRR method. She holds 60 doors, a mix of single family and suited houses that are located in Edmonton, Alberta. She also has 2 single family houses in Houston, Texas. She understands the value of owning real estate and the incredible potential for financial freedom.
